Goals and Progress

Most of you might not know that I have been going through a rough time lately. I think everyone goes through stages where they feel dissatisfied with how their life is going. For, I think, about two years now I have wanted something more and haven't really had the energy to figure out why. That has all changed.

I'm going back to school! About 8 years ago I did take a class at the communtiy college, but I wasn't then working toward any specific goal. Now that I know what I want it's going to be a lot easier to stick with it. I'm going to plow through nearly every photography class I can get my hands on. How about that!

I thought I was going to have to wait until Saturday to get over to the college, but as good fortune would have it my beautiful sister-in-law called me up and asked me if I wanted to go this morning. My father-in-law agreed to watch my three boys while she took me over there. I registered for my class and took care of the rest of everything I needed. I have just one more thing I need to turn in. I'll be doing that on Saturday.

I'm so proud of my progress that I could do an Irish jig. That is if I actually knew how to do an Irish jig. *settles for the happy dance*

Congratulations and good luck to you. I really mean it. I wish I had the nerve to do what I really want to do but a few health checks at the hsopital twice a years stop me from going back to Spain.
We all go through a stage in our lives wondering what direction our life is taking us.
Once again I wish you well.

Congrats!!!! it;s great to feel closer to a goal, and as a mother our needs get so lost, especially a mother of 3 boys. Hope you learn alot, I loved photography class so so much... I do not use what I learned but I had fun.. I have different creative outlets...

Congratulations and have FUN with it Marjorie! That is EXCELLENT! Are you interested in more PEOPLE photography, scenery, or news eventish stuff? (my daughter really wants to be a photojournalist).

I'm really happy for you--working toward a goal is so good for every aspect of your life (including the role modeling for your kids)

@ Yvonne- I have no doubt that one day you will go back to Spain. I mean your health issues don't prevent visits do they? I don't think you should let that stand in your way if you really want to go back.

@ Lee- You sure will!

@ Kierah- Thanks!

@ Lisa- This is going to be fun.

@ L'Aussie- Thank you so much for the award!

@ God's student- *keeps dancing*

@ Whisper- Yeah I have 2 girls and three boys so It's even harder to lose myself in what they are doing. I stick with the idea that I am teaching them to persue their dreams by going after mine.

@ Tami- I am interested in artistic photography as well as portraiture. I have also had the idea of perhaps helping disadvantaged families that can't afford portraits of their families. If I eventually start my own business I could work that in somehow.
