A-Z Reflections

Today we are reflecting on the April A-Z Challenge. I have a few things I would like to say.

First I , would like to thank you all for taking the time out to read my blog. I know I said it before, but I really do appreciate it.

Who else besides me found out that this is called a challenge because it can be HARD? Both because it is tough to blog every day and also because coming up with topics for every letter of the Alphabet is mentally straining. Plus, sometimes I was blogging at 8:00 or even 7:00 in the morning. I am NOT a morning person. It is hard for me to even function before 10:00 am. I can't drink coffee either!

I began the challenge by giving you all a little poem called Anger and ended with a story on Zap! (I was electrocuted). Beginning with a poem was a bit prophetic, because what ended up happening is I eventually stopped giving you my little stories in favor of almost exclusively doing poetry. I'm not sure I was giving the people what they wanted, but it was the best I could do in the a.m.

Will I do this next year? I'm not sure I will, but I will definitely consider it. This challenge was so tough for me at times this month, but it allowed me to stretch my writing legs and reminded me why writing was my fist love. Last year did the same thing. That is why I am not ruling out the challenge for next year.

I hope for the rest of this year that many of you will continue to come by my blog from time to time. After all blogging is not much fun if nobody is reading. It's been amazing getting the comments and the wonderful feedback and even when I churned out nonsense I still saw that people were willing to read and comment.

Thanks for another great year with A-Z!

I'm not a morning person either! And I don't drink coffee. I'd prescheduled all of my posts in advance, which really helped. Thanks for joining us and hope you'll do it again next year.

Congratulations on completing the challenge. I did the daily posts, but didn't quite make it around to everyone. Still working on that part. It was definitely a challenge all around, though.

Thank goodness the A-Z button is still working! I was first drawn to you as green is my favorite color, and after reading your Reflections post, I'll have to try to catch up on your poems that everyone is raving about! Julie

Finally getting to your blog through the A to Z. Nice to meet you! Yes, it was definitely a huge challenge. I think it's funny that you found it easier at times to just write poetry. I couldn't write poetry to save my life. ;)

Angela- That mean a lot coming from you and I'm not kidding!

Alex-I'm a last minute type of person. Preschedualing would never have worked for me.

Karen- thanks.

Kathy- I hope you do get around to them all.

Shannon- I couldn't get around to all the blogs though it would have been nice to have the motivation.

Leovi- Thanks so much for reading. I hope you continue to stop by. I know I will keep up with your blog.

Julie- Well I really hope to see more of you!

Next Julie- There was raving? Where?

Sarah- Yeah that might be strange to some but I have been writing poetry since I was 9. But it isn't easy either. Just easier than prose. For me anyway.

I've never really thought of myself as a morning person, but I tend to get up around 5 AM everyday. I don't know if it has to do with living in California, but having an internal Eastern time clock or if it has to do with just getting older.
Well, no matter, the main thing is that you finished your Challenge and I wanted to congratulate you. Thanks for doing it again. You just keep getting better at this blogging stuff.

Don't forget to pick up your Winner's Badge at my site.

Hi, dear Marjorie...I "hear" you on the Challenge, and challenge it certainly WAS~! Oh, I grumbled and moaned and groaned, but I found that I was wayyyyyy better this year than last year...So, maybe it is the "challenge" of confronting the daily thoughts and spilling them upon the screen??...I loved your writes, and even though I sometimes came into the "side door" and read and could NOT comment, doesn't mean that I did not adore your postings...I found that the reading went well, but when you begin to multiply the commenting daily, I was on the computer for a "while"...and that is not fair to the over 1000 that worked so diligently at this challenge...Maybe next year, there could be some sort of a separation---Poetry/books/Memorabilia/Crafting...and such to make different catagories...Just a thought...
LOVED YOUR BLOG...still do...will be back when I can...
